The well-known «Mitten», a beloved Ukrainian folk tale, has found a fresh embodiment in a collaborative project between «Navchalna Knyha – Bohdan» Publishers and the Lviv-based creative studio Agrafka (Roman Romanyshyn and Andriy Lesiv). This is a handcrafted book — a toy book, a souvenir book, a mitten book… simply a book unlike any other!
All its main characters — Squeaky Little Mouse, Croaky Little Frog, Hoppy Little Hare, Sister Fox, Brother Wolf, Tusked Boar, and Striding Bear — have received a brand-new, original look. They are now knitted and gathered inside a cozy, modern red mitten! They even have their own «house-book» now!
«The Mitten» was named among the winners of the prestigious Biennial of Illustration Bratislava (BIB 2011) and was included in the prestigious annual “White Ravens 2012” catalog, published by the International Youth Library in Munich.
